My approach to drawing is generative. This means that I use a stream of consciousness to create my works. The use of the instinct is fundamental as much as the ability to rationally observe what is happening on the support that I am using. Although It might seem a very split and almost schizophrenic method, the exercise led me to synchronise instinct and rationality so that I can easily move from one side to another. The driver is always the instinct. I very rarely start a work knowing what I want to do. It's a totally free self-expression that leads and move my choices, my hands and my body. All the senses are continuosly 'listening' to what's going on around and on the paper. When the flow finishes the second stage of the process starts: the observation and rationalisation of what I produced.
